A NY Times article from 34th Jan

    here: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/25/us/politics/25emanuel.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss

documents an incident where Obama was meeting wilth Emanuel, Nancy Pelosi (highest ever ranking female US government official) and other lawmakers.

Emanuel began cracking his knuckles and was asked to stop by Obama,

Emanuel in turn proceeds to raise his hand to Obama's ear and cracked his knuckles a a few further times.

This blatant act of disrespect to a superior would be unanceptable in my experience at any level, never mind if it was directed to the apparent most powerful man/Messiah in the world.

So for me it begs the question - Who is the superior?
    Also from that article on Rahm;

"He has exerted influence on countless decisions; in meetings, administration officials say, Mr. Obama often allows him to speak first and last. “You can see how he listens and reacts to Rahm,” said Ron Klain, the chief of staff to Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. “You can see that his opinion is being shaped.”

"In recent months, he has played a crucial role in the selection and courtship of nearly every cabinet member and key White House staff member."...

    "
Mr. Emanuel secured his support for Leon E. Panetta to head the Central Intelligence Agency....He advocated fiercely for posts for fellow Clinton administration alums like Hillary Rodham Clinton and Mr. Panetta;"

(Secretary of State and CIA director)
    ..
“Look, Rahm Emanuel loves you,” Mr. Obama told Mr. LaHood as he prepared to leave. “He is really pressing me and pushing me. And it’s not that I don’t want to do it, but. ...”
A few days later, Mr. LaHood was selected to be transportation secretary."

"He has exerted influence on countless decisions; in meetings, administration officials say, Mr. Obama often allows him to speak first and last."

    "
At a White House gathering with Mr. Obama and a bipartisan team of lawmakers on Friday, the House majority leader, Steny H. Hoyer, Democrat of Maryland, joked that Mr. Emanuel was too busy to talk to him, so he called the president instead. Mr. Obama said he was always happy to take calls for his chief of staff — a reference to an incident a few weeks ago when Mr. Hoyer called Mr. Emanuel, who was in the back of a car and claimed he was too busy to talk, so he handed the phone to Mr. Obama.

In meetings, it is not uncommon for Mr. Obama and Mr. Emanuel to engage in teasing banter. One White House official recalls an exchange last week in which Mr. Obama said something to the effect of, “Well, I was going to do that, but I didn’t want Rahm to mope for a half-hour.”

To be honest, that kind of makes Emanuel sound like he gets on really well with and has a relaxed attitude towards Obama and a bit of a prankster. It gives the impression that rather than being an opposing force that could be trying to run things fromt he background, he seems to be a good friend of Obama who's opinion Obama really trusts.

That is one way of looking at it, though to me it seems more like a public show of dominance; an act of bullying from a big brother to the little brother.

Maybe I am reading too much into it bit if that was my subordinate he would be put in his place immediately.

if that was my subordinate he would be put in his place immediately.

And thats the obvious difference between you and him. He obviously doesn't feel the need to have to show his power.

Yeah and it was Vice President Biden who co-authored a successful amendment , with Senator Lugar to the 2007 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act to fund $50 million for a civilian reserve corps.

Diogenes I think you'll find the Joseph Robinette (ha!) Biden is Roman Catholic.

Come to think of it so is Pelosi who was the subject of another recent thread I started.

And Obama is a Christian of some sort. Don't see your point to be honest unless it is to purposely drag religion into it.

I was refering to the person in your thread title, you seem eager to point the finger of blame at a jew for every problem in the world.

Joesph Gobbells called, he wants his job back.

For the record I have nothing against Jews, Muslims, Christians or anyone for that matter, except maybe Satanists.

That is not to say that their individual or group actions should be shielded by their faith un my opinion.

Really shall we look at your thread record on this forum, how many posts you make were you blame jews/Israeli for the world's ills, or being part of a global conspiracy, compared to christians, muslims or indeed satanists?

This anti-semitic counter-argument is getting really weak.

Thanks for the thread SKG, I will look into this Rahmbo a little more. I'd say the main power is still Brzezinski and Kissinger, however, I guess they're getting old and have had to train in new blood. Rahm may be one of them, as undoubtedly Obama is also.

    I agree.

No-one mentioned, nor even hinted at, religion being an issue here, until Diogenes decided to read the post that way....an interpretation which the OP has categorically stated was not the intention.

    So lets drop that, ok?

To back up my point religion doesn't come into at all in my paranoid/crazy/ignorant perspective as religion is used as a front by the protagonists and is part of the broader conpiracy. Dating back to the mystery schools in Babylon up to Francis Bacon in the 15th Century and his calls for a new world order in The New Atlantis ( i think thats the name) and beyond. With the various secrets, rituals, alchemy, codes passed through the various secret societies and their initiates. The only connection to Judaism is through their members and perhaps the teachings of the Zohar, but equally their have been apparent members of other faiths. B'nail Brith and later the ADL are specifically Jewish but they are just examples of lodges in the grand scheme of things, an example to counter that The Knights Templars were overtly Catholic, simiraly, a high percentage of Irish Masons would be Protestants.
</p></p>Just read that - was some waffle. The point is that religion is irrelevant to me.

The Tiny, tiny, No WAIT, massive flaw, in your flase outrage is you've been making claims about Rahm betweening a dual citizen Israeli who you claimed served in the Israeli Army in a previous thread (and you didn't prove either

    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=58501225&highlight=Rahm+Emanuel#post58501225

So you'll pardon if I take your previous anti Jewish sentiment aganist Emanuel and your new thread as proof of your continued agenda.

Oh but please prove me wrong start some threads about Muslims or Satanists. For a change.
what is this Rahm fellas Elected Mandate?

He's a white house chief of staff and former senator. If you think everyone in every position of authority in every administration has to be elected well I'd like to see how you expect any government to get anything done.

Wasn't outraged, just irritated by your attempts to derail the thread. Welldone though!

You do know the difference between an Israeli and member of the Jewish faith right?

No semblance of anti-semitism there for my money. Unreservedly apologise if it came across offensive in any way - purely accidental.

    My points were

    a) that a dual-citizen in power would tend to have divided loyalties which is not ideal and

    b) The son of a terrorist is likely to be influenced by his father. The principle of environment in development.

2 of the most rational things i have said here to be honest and I stand by them, hardly controversial.

In fairness, the first thing I thought when I saw this thread was surprise surprise it's another Jew supposedly involved in a conspiracy. You are correct though the OP didn't allude to it but his previous posts do show he's very much a believer in the so called Zionist conspiracy.

I do, some of my closest friends are Jewish, you seem to think anyone who's jewish and a member of the political establishment in the US is a Zionist.

    a) that a dual-citizen in power would tend to have divided loyalties which is not ideal and

You've yet to prove he's a dual citizen.
    b) The son of a terrorist is likely to be influenced by his father. The principle of environment in development.

That argument is invalidated by the fact that former terrorists , and the children of terrorists have been infulencial in our own peace process.
2 of the most rational things i have said here to be honest and I stand by them, hardly controversial.

"Two of the most rational things you've said here"?, is like saying "two of the least offensive claims of the Westbourne baptist church." As a yardstick they don't make much sense, and neither is something to be proud of. For example his father is a noted doctor specialising in paediatrics a fact you ignore when labelling him.

One is something you've never proved, and the other is a snide insinuation hardly a track record anyone should be proud of.

The argument is very tired indeed but do you wonder for a moment that Jewish people make up a tiny percentage of the worlds population but are involved in most of the conspiracy's? Now they're either unbelievably dangerous people, in fact I would say they'd need to be absurdly dangerous to be involved in all of this or perhaps there's some bias towards Jews.

No again. I'll let Dr Emanuel take it from here.

I don't believe in God nor am I interested in religion. I've been all over the world and have found in general that people are people. I just find it very tiresome that Jewish people are so maligned for things there's no evidence they did, which I can only assume is due to racism or bigotry. And at a time when there's plenty of things the Israelis can be blamed for which there's ample evidence they did.

True. Doesn't mean he isn't though.

You've made the claim the Onus is on you to support it.

It's contemptable to try an support anything else.

Unless I claim that Sofa King Kong enjoys watching doris day muscials while being spanked by a midget using a lollipop. You made the claim, you think it's "one of the most rational things i have said here to be honest and I stand by them" yet you now admit it's something you cant even prove. jesus wept.
No again. I'll let Dr Emanuel take it from here.

Can you quote the original article, I'd like to get a hebrew friend to confirm the specific quote.

Even if it is accurate you are once again basically saying because his father is a jewish terrorist, he must be a jewish terrorist. Well thank feck you didn't have your thinking running our peace proces

    For an example of what?
Here is an example of Doctors being terrorists http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/07/03/europe/britain.php Still dont see your point

And your point is caller? His father is a man who renounced terrorism and became a children's doctor, but hey you need to fixate on the nasty jew terrorist.

No no you did, you blamed him for his fathers background, and you claimed he was a dual citizen and member of the israeli army. Are you incapable of tracking your baseless accusations?

I agree with everything you've said there to a word.

But if you look up the Bolshevik revolution, just as an example, you will find the majority of the protagonists to be Jewish. That is not an indictment against Jews but it documents specific Jewish men involved in one of the major conspiracies in recent history. Not an indictment of Jews, just a fact.
