Car wheel arch scratch

Well I decided to have an argument with an immovable object (wall) the other evening and managed to wipe the rear wheel arch against it. There's some scraping to the paintwork (picture attached) and I'm looking at getting it fixed.
There are two options: get a pro to do it. Who would people recommend? Dial-a-dent maybe? What sort of cost would I be looking at?

Alternatively, in these harsh times, I could do it myself. Would it be a difficult job? Sanding, spraying, more sanding etc? I'm reluctant to hand over possibly a couple of hundred euro for what might be a straightforward enough job.

    Thanks in advance. :)

Try some light grade cutting compound on it first, you'll be able to clean it up and see the damage a little better.

I wouldn't recommend you try something like that yourself, it can be hard for the pro's to master sometimes, especially with silver.

The missus had similiar damage repaired to her car a while ago, it worked out at about €250 at a decent back street panel beater - she was quoted over twice that from a reputable body shop.

Or you can try a smart repairs sevice - http://www.autosmartsystems.ie/

Thanks for the tip on the company - I'll get a quote from them.
I've already used some t-cut on it so I may use a bit more and see if it reveals it a bit more

A gentle bump to see if there's anyone else with any advice this morning.

Getting any pro to do will cost a couple of hundred euro at a minimum. Trying it yourself will not give good results, but if the car is old, not worth too much and it does not bother you then why not.
