i had to re-boot my pc and restore factory settings etc. lately. for some reason tho, it doesn't recognise any speakers or head phone i plug in. they all work fine on my laptop, just not in my pc.

any ideas? is ther a simple way to re-install them or something like that?

    btw, its Vista.

sound card drivers must not be on the restore cd, install all windows updates, and post back if that doesn't fix it, vista is very good for automatically getting drivers from windows update
