cant register BD remote

hi

just got a new official PS3 BD remote.

I have tried holding start and enter together numerous times but it just isnt finding it.(also tried new batteries)

Any suggestions?

are you adding it from the ps3 menu aswell ?
you have to go into the settings on the ps3 and set the ps3 to find the remote and then press the buttons.

does anyone else think the bd remote eats through batteries or is it just me?

no joy

went into Accessory settings..manage bluetooth devices...register new device... it started scanning and i held start and enter but didnt find it

theres an option in the ps3 menus for the BD remote itself.
The bd remote has it's own activation option on the ps3.

yea tried that too...held the buttons and nothing..

I heard some wireless routers can affect the pairing process, if you have one, id turn it off then try the pairing again. Other than that, try pressing the "ps" button before the pairing process.

I think I've had the same set of batteries in mine for about a year now! Only half used according to the indicator on screen.

i dont have a wireles router and tried pressing 'PS' button before pairing but no joy..

must be a faulty BD remote

Iggy, if you want to take a lend of mine to see if it's a problem with your remote just give me a shout. Working next three nights tho'.
