Hey guys a bit of a n00b question, but I have a set of 10" minilite alloys for my mini rover and the nuts that I have are too narrow to grip the alloy. What nut would I need to grip the standard thread whilst being thick enough to hold the alloy.

Any help would be really appreciated because I have finished fitting chrome bumpers and mirrors and I'm really looking forward to sorting out my alloys.

    Thanks a million,

    Owl..

Bring it to a motor factors or someone selling wheel nuts. They need to have the exact dishing to cup the stud holes of the alloy properly or else they could eat through the wheel and fall off

I did and they told me it was just a standard rover alloy nut, I just don't know where to find them.

May want to cheak thoes nuts. From reading your first post I think you may need sleeved nuts, most 10" alloys for minis use these. Are the holes in the wheels a lot larger then the studs and where the nut hits the wheel is it flat or at an angled in towards the stud?

Holes are the same size, just slightly angled to the point where the original nuts just don't quite grip. Lets hope the ones I got are the right ones. Someone posted uppicsof nuts on a mini owners forum and we concluded that theones that I ordered are the right ones.

Ok sounds like you don't need sleeved nuts .The angle at the end of the nut differs with different wheel manufactors, make sure the nut and wheel match. What Mini have you got.

They match perfectly. It's a 1990 mini rover. I got the rover minilites and rover wheel nuts so lets hope all is good.

    Thanks for the help.

Think I see the problem now. 1990 Rover Mini with Rover Minilites. I think you'll find those wheels are 12" not 10" as stated in the first post so you have the right nuts. Good luck with the Mini.Whats your location.
