Stanley Shire Oil Stove+power cut

I have a stanley oil stove which is about 10 years old which I had serviced in October and is working grand. It was upgraded about 4 years ago...the starting mechanism is now not as long drawn out. Yesterday we suffered a power failure in the town....happens quite regularly. Now it lasted for about 15/20 minutes and while this affects the stove in so far as not like the newer models, it will cut out after about 15 minutes and you have to let it cool down (3-4 hours) before starting it up again.

However, the electricity came back after about 20 minutes so I let the stove on but the flame does not seem to be as radiant even though the heat is still in it. I have a full tank of oil, just topped up recently. Just wondering, should I turn the stove of and start the proceedure all over again. By and large, I leave it on 24/7 which can be done and this keeps the room nice and cosy. Just wondering did the power cut have an effect on this part of the workings?
