re-importing a car to Northern Ireland

This might seem like an odd question but...

I'm from the north but living in south-east, I bought my first car up North about five years ago - a little Peugeot 106 Key Largo and I imported it.

Just bought a newer car today (again at an auction in Newry) will get nothing for the peugeot down here (although running well, never gave much trouble).

Would like to bring it back north and give it to my little brother - can find nothing online about re-importing a car to the North (they all presume you want to do it the other way!)

Is this completely infeasible, cost wise?

As the UK does not have a VRT system you will not be penalised from bringing a car into the country. You will have to re-tax the car and an administration cost to the DVLA.

I imported a car into England before. You bring your logbook, pay a small fee (£30ish) and a minimum of 6 months tax. Then (re)fit the plates and take an MOT.
