Tree/shrub with coconut aroma

OH asked me today did I know of a tree or shrub that has a coconut fragrance given off it. Says she smelled on years ago but can't remember where or the name of it. many thanks in advance

Gorse AKA furze bush.
Some people smell coconut and others almond or vanilla.
