Digital Village shipping times?

    Any of you lads have experience with DV247?

    I ordered a few things back on the 19th which is 12 days ago, and the order status is still "order recieved". Maybe I'm being impatient, but I'm used to Thomann and Musicstore shipping stuff within a couple of days.

    I suppose one of the items might not be in stock yet, but I would have preferred if that was mentioned on the site. :mad:

    I ordered a Juno-D from them on Jan 1st, it stayed at "order confirmed" for two weeks despite me emailing them.

    You have to ring them to give them a gentle prod otherwise no action.

    If my experience is anything to go by then they wont ever. Seriously ring them, its the only way.

    my last order with thomann took almost 5 weeks - muppets. they've gone to hell lately, in my experience. not that I'd buy anything important from them anyway - only rack panels or other hardware - things I know I'll never have to return!!

    i got something from digital village a few months back and it was here really quickly.
    just out of curiosity I checked the tracking thing and lo and behold my nextdoor neighbour had signed for it a few hours earlier.

    Actually, I'd say of all the things I've ever ordered off the internets 80% has ended up in my neighbour's. That's what happens when the music's too loud when the dhl man shows up.

    I recently remedied this problem by getting a doorbell that has a strobe light that flashes when someone's there (I kid you not).

    Heres a hint: If you are dealing with DV than deal with their Birmingham branch. The Birmingham branch deal with all exports. DV are a quality service, never had a bother with them. If you haven't recieved a tracking code but you have recieved a purchase confirmation then they are simply out of stock. As soon as they re stock they ship.

    What is peeing me off is the fact that when I ordered the 2 NanoKontrols from DV (mid Jan) there was a note saying that the black version wouldnt be in stock until the shipment in mid Feb, so I decided not to wait ...:mad:

    I'm a bit miffed that they dont reply to emails either.

    Ill call them during the week.

    Never had a problem with DV247 before...ordered a load of stuff recently inc a Novation keyboard and it all arrived three days after ordering so I would definitely get on to them ASAP.

    No it's all good. I just would have preferred if their website was up to date with their stock.
    I'll get the refund and move on and learn from the experience.

    I'm not a fussy customer but I expect high standards from any retailer who is willing to take my money. My experience with Musicstore has always been positive, so I'm following my nose.

    i ordered a presonus pre amp as a first time customer a while back and it took 7 days.....i ordered a microphone on wednesday night and it arrived friday morning.....that kicks thomanns ass....

    That's pretty impressive alright. I've read other people saying good things about DV247 too. Looks like I was just unlucky.

    hmm i was gonna order a Blackheart 5 watt amp off them this weekend, but it says "usually ships in 3-12 days", sounds like I should ring them first..

    Noone seems to have them in stock atm :(

    Hi,

    Have to say Im seriously disappointed with dv247

    I bought a digitech gnx4 from them in early January and went away for a few weeks with work. When I got back home there was no sign of it so emailed them a few times nicely and when I got no reply I emailed them again a bit more seriously. Got a reply the next day to say it was out of stock and they would send it on once they got it in. I replied with thanks but got another email the following day to say that the price had now doubled and I would have to pay the extra if I wanted what I had already paid for 4 weeks earlier. I politely told them to F-off and said that if the matter wasnt sorted Id pass the matter onto my companys legal dept. After a week or so got an email from a sales manager explaining that their suppliers had messed them about but he said that theyd make an exception for me and supply it at the original price. I replied to this again with thanks and next day my online order status changed to confirmed and I was told it would be back in stock mid feb.

    But here we are at the end of feb, no fuppin gnx4 and no fuppin reply to my last few emails. Its such a shame, they seem to offer a really good service they have great deals and stock everything I could ever want but they have really let me down. It was my first purchase form them and I have loads of lovely goodies on my favourites page that I was hoping to buy in the near future but I doubt very much Ill be back now unless they sort themselves out.

    Thus ends my frustrating tale of woe
