ive just moved into a new flat in edenderry, offaly. in the sitting room and bedroom is a box attached to the wall with chorus written on them. there are connections for tv and fm on each box. i guess these are cable boxes.

is this digital cable or mmds?
do i just connect a cable from this to a tv or do i need a stb also?
is the fm connection just for radio or is there another use for this?

any info will be grateful as i have only ever used sky before and know nothing about cable...

You need an STB for digital cable. You can connect it directly to your TV for analogue cable but unless you're actually paying for a subscription it has probably been disconnected outside.

the FM output is for FM radio, though I think they are phasing out FM radio on cable so you may not get much or anything on it.
