    Hi all,

I am just wondering what are the current Garda Shifts, I know its three shifts 06.00-14.00, 14.00-22.00 and 22.00-06.00 I think,

I would like to know what the shift pattern is?

Does it have a routine as in 4 days on 2 days off or something?

    Thanks

There are a lot of different rosters out there, but they are all based around either a city roster, where you work seven nights in a row, or a country roster, where you work 2 nights one week, 3 nights the next week and another 2 nights the following week. My roster is the Wicklow/Wexford roster which is as follows:

    Day M T W T F S S
    WK1 R R L L E L E/L
    WK2 E E R N N N N
    WK3 N N N R R R R
    WK4 L L E E L E R

    Wk 1: F F L L E L L

    Wk 2: E E F F L E F

    Wk 3: L L E E F F F

    Wk 4: N N N N N N N

Pardon the lack of knowledge but what do the letters stand for?

    F, L, E, N, R.

    Thanks

There is other rosters then aswell for non 24 hour stations, you could have a late on one week end every month for example. But itll be a while of propers rosters before getting a non 24hour station! :D

Jesus, they are rough rosters. 7 days on the trot? heavy going? With overtime and court appearances you must be pretty tied up.
