Marushin Glock 21 8mm Shell Eject, KWA Glock 26C (full auto) and KWA USP Review.

    Right....firstly
    I hate glocks.
    I hate plastic pistols.
    I love Full metal pistols.

The Marushin Glock 21 is the most fun but the worst quality when it comes to build.
The KWA Glock 26 is the Best quality of build, best balance, and I actually like it.
The KWA USP was my favourite looks wise but was disapointed with the feel/build of it.

Out of the 3 the KWA Glock 26 Wins!

I wanted to get a Glock GBB to add to the Airsoft collection
as it would not be complete without one.
I ordered a KWA G26C from eirsoft as it had a metal slide and could fire on Auto.
No sooner than it arrived I got news from Corkairsoftshop that they had got in
the new 8mm Shell ejecting Glock from Marushin.......had no choice I had to have one.

Starting with the Marushin. This is a must have for a collector
and I hope it paves the way for other Pistols in the future.
the 8mm BB's are so much more fun to fire. Its a great fun item.
I'm going to say a lot of negative things about the build quality
in a minute but that does not take from the fact that this is a
    really really cool pistol.

I got the feeling that this product was rushed off of the production
line as if the company was under pressure to get this thing for
    sale as fast as possible.

The Lower body of this is of good built quality and nice ABS.
The upper parts are total crap.

The Slide, Outer Barrel is cheap plastic but externally Look ok.
The Return spring rod is made from plastic!!! and looks like
it will not stand up to a lot of use. This is what worries me the most.
The slide spring itself isnt the best either but it works.
    th_IMG_0468.jpg
The outer barrel is Horrid light plastic
    th_IMG_0466.jpg
The chamber is metal and attached is the ejector.
This looks a little weak too and I would not expect it
to stand up to a lot of use.
    th_IMG_0467.jpg

The magazine holds 5 shells, the first time I loaded the mag
the mag follower jammed as the shell at the bottom moved/turned
and jameed the whole mag. The Mag itself's lips are ABS,
I dont like this as your loading shells under pressure.
you also dont know if youve filled it with gas as with the
valve I cant tell if the its filling or leaking.
    th_IMG_0471.jpg
    th_IMG_0470.jpg
    th_IMG_0469.jpg

The Shells have like a rubber bucking/seal in each of them,
somtimes this comes out of the shell's and can be hard to
put back it the same way it comes out. Its better to fold
the rubber and put it back in from the back side of the shell.

The slide sits very high on the slide rail and you can see a lot
of light through it when looking at the pistol side on.
Thats a Pet hate of mine. There is also a lot of play on it.
Sometimes the slide sticks when racking the slide even though
    its lubed up.

The magazine release catch seems to stick out a bit too much.
    th_IMG_0459.jpg

It comes with spare hopup bucking which was nice.
It also has some trad marking that the others lack
    which is a plus point.

It fires flawlessly and it is fun to see the shells eject.
Looking at 8mm BB's fire out of the barrel onto target is
also very gratifying (I must get some more 8mm airsoft gear)

Next on the List is the KWA G26 Type C. (with Full Auto function)
    th_IMG_0475.jpgth_IMG_0473.jpgth_IMG_0476.jpgth_IMG_0474-1.jpg

The build of this GBB is fantastic.
The Lower frame is rock solid high quality ABS.
The Slide is light but made from Metal,
Racking the slide is great as its nice and snappy.
The Slide sits flush/snug with very little play,(one of the best I've seen apart from my WA pistol)
The Slide spring and Rod are metal and solid and strong.
The Barrel is very short but its metal and is vented.
Bad point but not that important. Not a trad to be seen,
    th_IMG_0481.jpgth_IMG_0483.jpg
The Mag is full metal. The lips at the top are metal
which is great. My mag came slightly damaged around the lips.
Also a nice addition the gas inlet/fill valve is hidden
buy a plastic plate that locks into place. You unlock it
my moving a follower back a bit at the bottom of the mag spring.
    th_IMG_0478.jpg

The gun fires flawlessly without any feed issues or stoppages.
on both auto and single shot.
Because this is so compact the balance is great.
The sites are nice too and feel right.

On mine the slide shows signs of wear already after only
2-3 mags of BB's through it.
    th_IMG_0479.jpgth_IMG_0480.jpg

Also on mine the fire selector switch wont move for me,
I need to pull the slide back a few mm's before I can go
from strip mode, to single, to auto. The Photo below shows
how much it needs to be moved back to move it.
    th_IMG_0484.jpg

sometimes the slide catches and stays back when you rack it
without a mag in even when lubed.

    Lastly the KWA USP.

    th_IMG_0485.jpgth_IMG_0495.jpgth_IMG_0489.jpg

Out of all of the pistols this was one I had been meaning
to get for ages and kept putting it on the long finger.
I was hopeing one of the Irish Stores would have the Tactical
version with silencer and threaded barrell but they did not.

There is a hell of a lot of play on the slide on this GBB.
The ABS is solid but does not look as good as the glocks.
Even though its the same Brand as the Glock 26 the build
quality is not as good on the USP.

The slide is metal but felt like plastic when I touched it first.
The slide spring & Rod are metal and of good quality,
The outer barrel is Cheap nasty plastic which was a disapointment.
    th_IMG_0491.jpg
When I first tried to stip this, I thought it was going to be like a 1911
strip and was pulling the slide back to far to remove the body locking catch.
It drove me mad and I very nearly broke something trying to remove it.
Then I realised (after looking at the manual) you only needed to pull
the slide back a little bit.
    th_IMG_0486.jpgth_IMG_0487.jpg
    th_IMG_0494.jpg

Racking the slide is not great, feels like racking the slide on a desert eagle
GBB (ie sluggish and slow moving compared to say something like a KJW 226)

It has a lovely feature that is I think in the real steel too,
it comes with a key so you can lock the action from just inside
    the magwell.
    th_IMG_0493.jpg

The Hammer in metal inner workings are a weird funky colour as if they have been coated with
    something

I have to agree with the above posting. Have owned the tm g18c, g17 and g26c and currently the kwa g26c is by far the best. It shoots flawlessly on full auto and semi. The only issue seems to be the little cock back you have to do to switch from semi to full auto but it's not really an issue. Its a little pocket rocket.

Was really taken by the shell ejecting glock but was unsure for a number of reasons, one of which was the price.
But I'm glad I read your review.

Yeah I have a KWA G26c, great little piece.
Except I have no idea how to take the top slide off :o. I can get it about 1cm forward then it just gets stuck. Got any advice?

    P.S. Nice reviews!
I +1 the G26c review, mine is the exact same.

Fire selector switch needs to be put into neutral/horizontal maybe?
ie half way between full auto and semi so you can release the slide.

After that assuming you have the magazine out it should be just a metter of
holding down the release switches above and in front of the trigger guard..

The Good news is that there is a Metal Slide coming out for the Shell Ejecting Glock
a few more metal parts such as an outer barrel and recoil rod and it will be a lot better!!!

the hammer is slightly up and catching.
get a small screwdriver and slide it in at the back where the slide meets the frame, just press it down and pop the slide off, fairly common problem with glocks.

    Bullets:
will you be getting a metal slide & barrel for her?

    Not sure yet mate,
My Prioirity would be to get a Metal slide for my one and only
WA pistol that got damaged at Christmas time, but am
tempted to get the slide upgrade for the Glock. Ordering from
redwolf is putting me off since they bloody well spooked Visa
last time I ordered from them and their postage is crazy bucks.
(The price of the slide is also 1/7th the price towards a Barett M82
    so that will win)

    Yeah that did it, thanks!

    Nice reviews bullets

I picked up a new Marushin Glock 21 8mm Shell Eject GBB the other day and firing it is awesome :D ...but unfortunately I am having a problem with it... the slide jams back too far and it is very difficult to unjam it as it seems to be moving off the rails slightly.
I only use HFC 134A gas with it so its not a case of too much power going through it.

I am thinking of returning it as it does it sometimes when I rack the slide back by hand which is very annoying.

I fully agree with you in saying..

"The Lower body of this is of good built quality and nice ABS.
The upper parts are total crap."

The lower body is the best I have seen on any glocks including my KWA Glock 18c but the slide on the Glock 21 is the cheapest plastic I have ever seen on a GBB which is a real shame as I really love firing the 8mm bb's through it and see the shells fly out.

I am going to either return it or try and get the metal slide for it.. have you seen it for sale from anyone else other than redwolf?
