    Hi Folks

Hope soemone can help or put me on the right track. My wife and I have a Samsung R20 Model Laptop its a couple of years old, the othe day she was suing it and it slipped and hit the tiled kithcne floor and the screen cracked along the center its a hair line crak and the ink liquid has come out through it, we went back to the place where we bought and they said it would have to be sent back to samsung in the UK to get repaired new screen etc. The total cost would be for labour 150 streling and 200 for new screen, its just the inner screen is crakced the shell is fine. I was just wondering if anyone had a similar problem with the laptop screen getting damagede and how must did it cost? We live in the south east so if anyone can point me in the right direction to a place with reasonable prices please let me know, I cant afford paying out the kind of money they were quoting me at, at that rate would I be better off getting a new laptop?

    Thanks in Advance

I can see a few R20 screens going for about 80 UKP on ebay. And some cheaper but with high postage costs. Evay is likely to be your best bet, though you'll need someone competent to take the old one apart and put the new one in. Definitely far cheaper than the 350 UKP it'll apparently cost you by going the official repair route.
