So I eventually got my new HTPC up and running using the terratec Cinergy S2. I'm just wondering what programs will capture the ts stream so it can be descrambled by the offline descrambler. [snip by mod.]

No discussions of offline descramblers. Read the Charter.

It's just acceptable to discuss softcam and ISO reader to use valid sky subscription for Media Centre / PC. Which as Zaphod demonstrates works in real time.

Offline descrambling is commonly used to reverse engineer decryption, which under Irish & EU law is illegal.
