i like evince for reading pdf, its way quicker than adobe to load. I dunno if it has any writing to pdf capabilities though

I wouldn't want to write pdfs as such. I use my laptop for college and the notes are given in pdf usually. So during the lecture I like to be able to write notes in the pdf which you can do in acrobat pro but doesn't seem so in any release on linux:(

evince should be the job then, i think it comes as standard on ubuntu distros

Indeed, give Evince a lash. Okular is another option.

No I meant i can't the feature in evince where u can write in notes on the slide. In Acrobate pro you could right click and 'add sticky note'. I can't find anything like this in evince.

With Okular you can view and add notes to PDF documents. I think pressing F6 brings up an annotation menu.

    You're right: it is F6.
