Removing car wrecks with the dead still inside will ease congestion: UK

Fatal car wrecks should be removed with their dead victims still inside to ease traffic congestion, controversial Welsh police chief Richard Brunstrom proposed today.

He said his idea would boost the economy by allowing roads to be reopened up to an hour earlier following such crashes. Currently roads are closed after a major accident until firemen are able to cut the roof off a vehicle and release any bodies stuck inside.

He suggested that fatalities should be removed along with the car on a low loader and the operation of removing the bodies be carried out more discreetly and dignified at a fire station.

I couldn't;t see this happen, surely forensics have to examine the scene, chalk the road and look for evidence which would probably take as much time as removing bodies from vehicles.

What a clown. Maybe we should just bill the families of the deceased for the inconvenience, try generate some revenue while we're at it?

    What a bad bad idea

I do however like some of his ideas, he insisted being testing with taser for example, i know twas a bit of pr stunt, but still a good idea, management seeing what prisoners have to deal with!

How long has he been making comments like this? He's most likely bringing the respect of the service and the moral within the service down. He shoud resign. End of story.

    Bad Idea

Should fatal car wrecks should be removed with their dead victims still inside to reduce further accidents caused by rubberneckers on the opposite carriage way ?

Does closing motorways down remind people of how mortal they are and encourage road safety if so then keep closing them.

it would be even better if they had a lorry-mounted crusher going around the M25 that would just pick up any stationary vehicles and crush them whether or not the people in it are dead.

brits react quite badly to the humdrum of life being interrupted. like with the recent snow they all complaining about how they cant go to work, etc. these people are far too busy to have their routine broken by something like an accident so better to get it out of the way as fast as possible even if that means killing a few people

this stuff with checking out who dunnit and who'se to blame for the accident is just something to keep the lawyers employed so its best to sweep any car accidents under the rug and forget about them

Oh yeah. We're much more tolerant here!

On yesterday evenings news a spokesperson from AA was on saying how people were still in their cars late yesterday evening. Callers were worried that they had no food or water! Was it that bad?

At least those bodies would have been deep frozen for removal from the M50! The tow truck would have been driven by Capn' Birdseye, naturally.

Sounds like that Edward de Bono one "suppose you knew who was going to die in an accident on the M25 later on that morning and you had them on a radio show asking people not to use the motorway , how many motorists would stay at home ?"

srsly? and there wasn't even real snow over here. at least in england there was a good thick layer (for our standards) of snow.

whats this about having no water to drink
did their parents never tell them not to drink the yellow snow or are these people too thick to realise that means all the other snow is OK to drink?

Well I don't know how he believes it could be done respectfully in the backyard for a fire station. Nothing respectful happens in a fire station.

Yup. This was nothing to do with respect, the exact opposite in fact. All to do with penny-pinching and cow-towing to local business more like.

The very fact that the roads are closed off provides ample scene security for the removal of any bodies. He seems to have missed this point.

Was having a thought on this in the station the other night, this it a typical British idea which will/ was shot down by more sensible heads?
Can you imagine in 2 years time when its suggested here??? :D Got the chuckles thinking of how they would word the draft policy.
