Car has been in the long term in the airport since early Jan. I'm back on Sunday, what do you reckon chances of it starting?!? Just wondering if I should be coming prepared! Battery about a year old, well maintained etc. About 90AH I think. Didn't put put on the alarm, so no draw on it I hope. Never gone this long without starting a car in cold weather so don't know what to expect.

You should be ok, the cold really only affects dodgy batteries which are already on the way out. 1 less than a year old should be grand, assuming nothing was draining it.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    + 1 Buffman's post.

If the battery is of decent quality there will be no problem.

Unfortunately, our country has been flooded with ****e batteries.
