What Nationality overtakes with their hazards?

I was driving along minding my own business with a rental focus going a good pace in front.

Everytime he overtook I overtook and so on it went for around 30 miles. When we came to a town or if he was turning or at a roundabout he would indicate normally so there was nothing wrong with his indicators.

When he went to overtake traffic he would put on his hazards until after he completed the manouveur.

I have driven in many countries and drive around 100,000km per year in my own car so I can safely say I have never ever seen this.

    Any thoughts on what nationality?

Maybe its a tourist who has seen lots of irish drivers flash there hazards at cars as they are let by. the tourist probably thinks its law to do this when overtaking here

He was putting on his hazards whilst still behind the car and using his hazards until the manouveur was completed.

I know the British indicate left, then right, then left. I cannot do this because my indicators flash 3 times each time I pull the stalk.

The Mexicans are fond of the hazard lights.

I think the Anglo italian mexican african oriental caucasian south-american europeans have a reputation for doing this.

Or maybe it was just some gobshi te who can't drive properly?

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
