If the owner of a farm was getting the farm retirement scheme and there was a 10 year lease on the land . If that owner died suddently a few years into that lease. Does that lease end on the death of that owner or does the next of kin have o honour that lease.

It would depend on the legal wording of the lease. Normally there would be an opt out clause in it and death might be mentioned in this clause. But I'd recommend contacting the solicitor who drew up the lease in the first place.
