Probably a good idea. I think that's why there are signs on the road showing the speed limit.

4 is max before insurance goes up so this would be the time to stop speeding.

you wouldn't mind, but I've saved for my insurance for the past 3 months....I'll be good from now on...........my miser within will make sure that I don't speed anymore - I might need a support group like in the food diary section

Support group? Just cop on and stop speeding and you won't need anything else. It's not that flippin' difficult lads.

Ok, well thanks a lot for letting us all know.*:pac:

*the preceding statment may contain traces of sarcasim:D

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

I got stopped in December for being on the phone while driving ( I was actually stopped at the exit of my estate when I got the points not even on the road but not going to argue that point!) - the Garda said that I would get the notice of the €60 and points in the post within 28 days. I only received the notice this morning and its more than 28 days since I was stopped so I'm just wondering if there is any point in my trying to dispute this??!! Normally I would just pay up but...!!

If the estate is accessible to the public, then I am fairly sure that you are not exempt from the rules of the road.

You can only dispute it if you dont get the letter within 6 months

I'm not suggesting that I was exempt, but it is a place where you would often see people pulled in to use their phones. Like I said I was more questioning the time limit aspect than the rules of the road but thanks for your reply anyway

Is it just me or is it hard to stop sppeding?? I'm not talking about double the spped limit, just 110 to 120kph in a 100kph zone. Not exactly a prison sentence like!! Its just hard to stay below 100kph on dual carriageways and other wide roads. Are the speed limits too low?? and are they too high on narrow country roads? I live in the country and the speed limit is 80kph, like a lot of country roads. I'd like to see someone drive at that speed down these roads with the size of the potholes!!
