old car removal- dublin corporation facility?

    do dublin corporation have a facility (that you pay for) for taking old cars away?

    if not does anyone know what my options are with an old car, that im not selling or trading in.

    what paperwrk stuff do i have to do also

    Check out gumtree.ie.
    Good few guys on there offering to take away cars for free.
    Or try selling it on gumtree or adverts.ie for €50 or something, somebody might want it.

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

    The manufacturer must take it away for free - assuming they are still present in Ireland. I do hope its not a Rover ;)

    Apparently if the number plates were to mysteriously disappear, the corporation are obliged to take it away for free :D

    there is a place in bray that will come and take the car for you and give you a certificate to say it's been scrapped. Think it's €50

    You need your vehicle registration certificate, nothing else.

    If you decide to go down the route of selling it for a few quid, be careful who you sell it to.....

    Couldn't they still identify the registered owner from the chassis number or something?
