I was confinced I'd seen those before, but after some googling I couldn't find any info or pics and though I must have been mad. But they do exist and I'm still slightly mad:D

They should put them on the backs of more large vehicles. Might stop cyclists thinking they can be sneak up the inside and then unfortunately finding out too late they can't. Also stop some car drivers who don't understand large vehicles have to swing right to go left and try and sneak inside.

This happened to my mother before except the tool never indicated left. He swung in front of her totally knackering the wing

If these long vehicles were driving on the left, then the question of undertaking them wouldn't arise. Cyclists being on the left of motor vehicles is the normal operation of the road.

So very true. Although, a word to the wise. If a truck pulls in to the hard shoulder to leave you pass, make sure the other side of the road is clear of oncoming cars. I saw someone talking there time overtaking a truck, and the hard shoulder had a big of a gap in it, very frightening to watch a car being pushed out infront of oncoming traffic.
