    Have science background, binoculars and am interested in gaining knowledge in stargazing.

    I bought "Turn Left at Orion" and "The Backyard Astronomers Guide" I found them very good starting off.

    Yeah I have "Turn Left at Orion" too. I found it great when I was starting out. Definitely recommend!!
