I'm often puzzled in this Forum when people offer their work for critique with a certain apologetic air.

    What are they afraid of?

An excuse to post sports photos, where endeavour, courage and an ability to go at success bald-headed might get us all interested?

Just curious, are you on some kind of reward based payment system whereby the number of threads you start dictates your monthly income?

Can you explain what you meant in your post in some more detail?

Generally people post images for C&C as they want the opinion of others on here. Mostly this is done as a learning exercise.

I am not quite sure what you mean by "an ability to go at success bald-headed might get us all interested?"

I hope that it's not having a poke at anyone, because to me it doesn't make sense & could seem to be insulting.

Uh? Who is bald? Why are we to shoot sports? Wha?

I suspect people post with something that comes across to you as an "apologetic air" as they are doing it as Cabansail says, in the spirit of "is this actually any good?" rather than "look what I did, isn't it just fabulous dahling!" (which actually links back in to that thread about arrogance)...

There are ways to show that you're pleased with what you've done that don't come across as arrogant, like "I'm chuffed with how this turned out" and then you can ask if you think there's anything you could have done better. Posting a thread with an image for C&C and saying "Here's something i did" and not actually asking what people think suggests you're simply showing off.

I thoought that a punchy title would be interesting to the sports photographers.

There are quite a few who are interested in boxing.

I have photos of orienteers and runners which, in time might be worth uploading.

    LOL rymus
He is an eager beaver I give him that, imagine one as to meet up with him, would he have more camera gear dangling out of him than the stockroom of B&H or maybe he just simply found a loving home here the way some animals find after Xmas!

I guess that's what the random photo thread is for....

I cannot see this thread going anywhere, as such I am closing it.

If you think there is some merit I have missed then PM me.
