I can't for the life of me remember how to do this!
I want to have a program start automatically when Win Xp loads. This is for a mate who wants to set up a basic laptop as a skype video phone for his elderly mother. Needs to be able to press the power button and go straight into Skype.

I used to have an old laptop, on Win98, I used as a PDF viewer, which would go straight into Adobe Viewer on startup, just can't remember how I did it!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im nearly certain that there is an option in Skype to start when windows starts.
Another way to do it is to copy the Skype shortcut file into
    C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

That's it - thanks for the quick reply!

Must look into Skype options, don't use it myself, so thanks for the info.
