€1,000 Property Tax Proposed

    David Begg of SIPTU and some of the governments economic luminaries are discussing the idea of a €1,000 levy for every house/apartment in the country. Quick maths: 1.7 million properties = €1.7 billion for the government to squander away.

    Would you be happy to pay €1,000 to help the country in its hour of need? Is this the last straw? Would 1.7 billion really make that much of a difference :confused:

    Revolt on the cards if this was implemented me thinks!
