ok seriously though cos this has been bugging me all morning ... is it because they all have features that mark them as classic in terms of production or something? I know that every classic tracks list contains it's old reliables and stuff that's subjectively debatable but this list seems to leave so much out in favour of some pretty pedestrian MOR music. My focus is very much on the 1969-1973 period as it was the first discovering music as a kid/early teen period for me ... like, no 'Maggie May'

I think they were all tracks that featured in the magazines over the years - so it's not a definitive selection, just A selection.
