If you think things are bad with Eircom in Ireland, Just look at what may be in store across the water in the UK. Of course they always have to have one up on us. :p

"Every household to pay £20 internet piracy tax as Government announces 'broadband for all' plan".

chances are the government here will do something similar... there getting short of cash now so any tax will do

Seriously? You guys believe what you read in the Political Fail? It's the most ridiculous newspaper in the UK. The headline is quite staggering, and I don't know where they get it from as it's a load of crap. You have to remember the Daily Mail is probbably the most politically biased newspaper in the UK. They are staunch supporters of the Conservatives and believe that Fianna Fail are doing a good job in Ireland.

The only reference to the 20 in the article is:
The new rights agency would be funded via a levy - believed to be £20 - on internet service providers (ISPs) and the music and film industry.

Bit different from charging 20 quid to a household as a "Piracy Tax" But then again the Daily Mail never did let facts get in a way of another cheap political shot.
