Joe Bastardi wouldn't stand for that sort of carry on.

This thread fills me with dread. Bibshorts seem like a distant dream.

Who would have thought weather would be so contentious! I do like the 'whats your favourite weather' thread though.

Us men of steel don't worry about the weather. The worse it is the clearer the roads are.... I dream of a day I wake to find 3 degrees (no ice) and not a single car on the roads. Kinda like me own personal closed Road race.

NO doubt I'd get a puncture or run into a parked car. I have driven into a parked car that was embarrassing -- drop me fruit salad and bent down to pick it up.

Speaking of weather, on the way home along the coast this evening I tried to take a right hand corner. The wind was so strong that it kept me going virtually straight. Almost hit a lamppost!

There were some serious wobbly cyclists heading towards Sutton. I ended up cutting up towards the Howth Road in the end.

    That'll be "climate" then.

The key thing is the "no ice" bit; I have no problems with the cold otherwise. Have taken up mountain biking due to the ice but unfortunately that is not reducing injury so far.

Looks like the atmosphere was getting hot and heavy over there alright. I think the storm clouds had been gathering there for some time. And when the lightening strikes you have to listen to the thunder. Then it passes and all is quiet and tranquil again.

my favourite cycling weather is the really cold but no ice stuff. so whatever it needs to keep sally gap open and emty rubber side down is good for me, i just hate this warm wet weather, it sucks (actually at the moment it blows)

I had a couple of wobbly moments myself, and that was only coming in from Phibsborough!

I've gone from front 16 spokes to 32 (open pros) and it makes a big difference to cross winds.

Is it making it better or worse?

A lot worse. Cross wind tends to grab the bike better with more spokes.
