Ok lads its decision time....which one of the following would you pick and why (as your daily driver)?
    • Toyota Supra Twin Turbo
    • Nissan Skyline R33/R34 GTR
    • Mitsubishi Evo VIII/IX
For me I think it'd have to be the Supra because it is not as common as the other 2 and looks the best imo

***HOPEFULLY I'LL BE GETTING ONE OF THE ABOVE IN A FEW YEARS TIME....FINGERS CROSSED***:D

I don't think any of them would attract me as a daily driver.

When i was in London last year picking my own car there was a Supra 3000gt TRD parked up by the garage, nice car, if i could have one of them i would, although rarity and insurance/running costs would bugger me :(

If it had to be a 3 series, i'd sooner a 335iSE auto estate. This is a daily driver you're talking about, to me that means traffic, shopping, dog in the back etc. For what I need in an everyday car, I can't think of anything more suitable than my Forester 2.5XT auto. The cars you've listed are weekend specials, they were never designed to be 'daily drivers'.

ok if you were to pick one for the weekend which one of the above 3 would it be?:D

Skyline R34 GT-R V spec. But they still cost a bomb.

I would use it as my daily drive too btw!

The Supra every time, total rocket, looks the best and the purr from that engine is awesome.

Yeah I think the Supra marginally beats the R34 .
There both very similar perfermance wise (unmodified)
But I think the Supra beats it in the looks department!

You're kinda crossing generations too much. An R33 versus a Supra, the R33 would be a nice bit quicker on a track, but I'd go for a Supra for sure. An R34 on the other hand would sway me. Especially a V-Spec II. The Evo would actually be a class below an R34 GTR.

    Evo IX for me

    full exhaust system
    good induction
    fuel pump
    plugs
    ecutek remap

    = 360-400 bhp

If i could take an M3, i would ten times over the other few. But if it had to be any of the rest, it would be a Black Supra TT of some sort.

Thats what would attract me and will attract me! But it would be the CSL version, better than any japa car imo.

Apsulotly smashing looking, the nicest sounding engine too. Not a fake bolt on exhaust like you get in japanesse cars, this is the real deal.
Hopefully if everything goes well I'll get one in 3 years.

Theres a huge difference in prices on the ones you've quoted. An Evo is worth practically double a Supra TT/R34 GTR.

That being said, I've always had a thing for the Supra TT. Although finding a nice unmolested one is like trying to finds hen's teeth as I already found out. :(

The GTR is heavily modded but the evo aint as expensive as a genuine GTR34,
I'd take the GTR over the other two everytime, love the Supra but the GTR is iconic to me, playing Gran Turismo years ago making them up to 1000 bhp! And because they're so rare

All great cars and a testimant to the Japs

For me it has to be a white Supra TT

Aswell as being the best looking out of the 3 (IMO), the Supra its also the cheapest to buy althought cheaper tax on the evo!!;)

V-Spec 'line and Evo IX would be about the same price I thought?

    Wow you sure showed me!
You posted an unmodded Evo and a ridiculously modded GTR.

    Here is a better example

    http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/842043.htm

    http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/844693.htm

Remember the EVO is 2008 and the Skyline is 2002.

I like Evo's and Impreza's but they are not in the same class as an R34 GT-R.

I said that in my post, look at the year difference and I'd be suprised if there was any GTR34's in this country unmodified

the CSL as a daily driver? Are you nuts? No air conditioning, no radio, tyres you cant use in the wet, no proper boot to load anything heavy into. Its a ridiculously stupid car unless it is purely for track use.

Plus its a well known fact that you can make a normal M3 just as fast with a few simple modifications and some weight reduction. It has the same engine as the standard M3 so you should be able to make it sound similar to a CSL as well.

Buying a CSL for everyday use in this country is completely and utterly retarded.

Depends a lot on your driving style. Do you prefer 4wd or rwd?
I had a Supra years ago. The guy I sold it to is selling it now.
Supras are great cars that can be bought very cheap nowadays.

    My old one

Nice but the mileage is too high and she N/A....so by paying a few €k extra you can get one with lower mileage and Twin Turbo'd!;)

CSL engine actually has different cams, different ecu and a carbon airbox, although I suppose thes could be retrofitted. Has a SMG gearbox too.

Also it had a quick rack.

big time, better to get an M3 CS, which has the quick rack and some of the CSL kit (wheels etc).

I'd take the R34 GTR for sure.
With a few mods, that car is unreal.

I know the engine is slightly different but they are all things that can be changed afterwards if its really that important to you.

Again the quick rack is something that i dont see the point of on a road car. A standard M3 already has a very quick steering ratio so why bother with one that is just going to wear you out by moving every time you go over any bump. I cant imagine it would be even remotely comfortable to use a quick rack on a longish journey.
