I've been meeting this guy for a couple of weeks now and starting to get feelings for him i think. So i know he is the flirty type and as a lot of female friends but i got jealous at a comment he left a girl on his facebook and the reply he got back. Is it weird I'm jealous and we're not even going out? I know he's free to do what he wants but should i forget i saw the comment on facebook and put it down to him just being flirty or does it sound like he's a bit of a player ? I'm confused as to say something or not. Thanks in advance

It's not weird at all. Jealousy is a natural feeling you'll get over anyone you any interest in.

I wouldn't say anything to him. Will just make you look clingy & unnattractive to him, if you have feelings for him make it more clear and see if he's interested.

A lot of people flirt on those social networking sites. That's mostly why people use them. If he's a free agent then it's healthy for him to be flirting. If you like someone then it's also just natural to feel a tinge of jealousy if you think he may prefer someone else. That's just human I think.

No, I think its weird that youve been meeting for a couple of weeks and arent going out.

Stop Facebook stalking him right now! This will not help you in any way, ever.

ETA: Hope that doesn't sound harsh, but I know from personal experience. :P

If ye had been going out a wee while then I would imagine that the flirtiness would die down. Its natural to feel jealous but you have no right to be telling him not to do it at this stage and I wouldnt hold it against him.

Really?Jeez,Ive had 5 or 6 dates with the same girl since end of December and we certainly arent going out.

On topic,OP,as others have said, its natural to feel jealous when someone you have feelings with is flirting with someone else but have you told him how you feel?If not you probably should,at least that way you will know and depending on how it goes you can move on,either with or without him.Good luck with it!

I dunno, man. I'm an American and two weeks to going out sounds pretty fast to me.

forget about it. cyber-flirting is much easier and therefore to be taken more casually than that which occurs in the real world.

your best bet at this stage is to continue being relaxed and confident in his attraction to you (or at least appearing to be). infinitely more attractive than jealousy- particularly at such an early stage.

    WAH?!
    No sorry, but wah?!

OP, it's perfectly fine how you feel, cause you have been kinda seeing him for a while. Wouldn't worry about it. Just keep going as you are and see if things develop.

Dont stalk his profile pages. You only end up feeling hurt ieven if it's a comment from way back in the past you see on someones page for some reason :(

In a nutshell you are worrying over nothing, relax and slow it down:)

    slow it down:)

If anything she needs to speed up! The guy is probably just keeping his options open

I disagree, nothing worse than someone clingy at the start of a relationship, it comes across as needy, I would run a mile. If he is flirting with someone seriously on facebook which I completely doubt then she is better off without him.

Hi people, OP here, thanks for all the replies.

Yes I know after just 2 weeks I really have no right in what he does but I still can't help but feel a little jealous. And yes its true he's a free agent so can play the field and as some of the posters said here already well I'm not really in a position to say anything without sounding clingy. Still confused as to what my next move should be, just hold out another few weeks and see what happens?
    Thanks again people

Sounds like you are having a tough time of it OP, sorry to hear it.

It has only been too weeks so I suggest you should wait another too weeks and see where that takes you. Don't worry too much , its natural to be jealous so try not to get worked up over it

Christ almighty! You're not even in a relationship with him and you're wondering if you should maybe say something to him because he left a flirty comment on another girls facebook?

    Are you 12?

This isn't clingy, it's bordering on bunny boiler territory.

just hold out another few weeks and see what happens?

Then you run the risk of him thinking that you're not interested in him.

In any case, 80% of things written on facebook are flirty! Thats the whole point of it!
