Oh god. Worst episode i have seen in wow - 10-15 years? i have no idea. Actually was this the single worst episode ever made (for those that did watch it already)

I mean this was worse than blues brothers 2000 and universal soldier 2

    Ahh.. that brings back memories!
Convenient voice: Thank you for calling the parking violations bureau. To plea `not guilty,' press `one' now. [Homer dials `one'] Thank you. Your plea has been...
    Male rough voice: Rejected.
Convenient voice: You will be assessed the full fine plus a small...
Male rough voice: Large lateness fee.
Convenient voice: Please wait by your vehicle between 9 AM and 5 PM for
    parking officer Steve...
    Male rough voice: Grabowski.

Indeed. What was once the most important show on television - and it really was - is now a farce. Watching a new episode of the Simpsons is equivalent to watching a once great athlete trying to compete in a serious Olympic event on their 100th birthday. This show just needs to die already.

"Mountain Dew or Crab Juice?" "Eww... I'll take a crab juice". wtf happened to that?

all the good writers moved to futurama, and they stopped getting good guest writers *cough* Conan O'Brien *cough* to do shows.

seriously Conan wrote one of my all time favourite simpsons episodes - Homer goes to college. "hey waitaminute, that isn't the wallet inspector".

Not to be too pedantic.. but he was hardly a "guest writer" - he was a writer and producer with The Simpsons for 2 years before he went on to do 'Late Night'.

    ;)

yeh sorry, i had something in my head to compare him to guest writer Ricky Gervais, but i decided against it as that would be an insult to Conan. :pac:

Oh God.. I'm a big fan of Gervais but I watched less than 5 minutes of the episode he wrote before switching off.

there has been good episodes but nothing like the quality of said episode or episodes before it.

i think i've seen up to season 13 fully then it's just random episodes that could belong to any season as i stopped caring.

On the upside at least the eps I watch are all illegal downloads so I can't imagine it's of any benefit for Fox and co.

Worst episode EVER you say? Might check it out. Then again I couldn't be bothered sometimes. It does say a lot when a show gets so bad you can't even be bothered to click a few buttons to get it.

watching this after watching the Hank Scorpio episode really shows how bad its become. Ive been watching seaon 20 and in all fairness its not as bad as it has been in previous years... but unfortunatly thats not saying much :( .

Scorpio - Beware of his generous pensions... and good intentions

cant beat it - one of the best episode - classic episodes

It is sad to watch a show that was once the contributor of hundreds of fantastic quotes and laughs be allowed to sit there in a semi-comatose state. Like a great comedian who was hit by a truck, kept alive for those rare moments when he still pulls off a great joke. A true example of the positives of euthanasia.

I've still not seen it yet but I've read it's loosely on Peter Jacksons "Heavenly Creatures" (the story of the Parker-Hulme murder case from 1954)?

I still have my fingers crossed it ends with Lisa bludgeoning Homer to death with a brick wrapped inside a sock.

This quote sums up the new simpsons for me:
Chris Suellentrop of Slate wrote "under Scully's tenure, The Simpsons became, well, a cartoon. [...] Episodes that once would have ended with Homer and Marge bicycling into the sunset now end with Homer blowing a tranquilizer dart into Marge's neck. The show's still funny, but it hasn't been touching in years."[125]
