Because of the complete b*llsh*t coming out of the recovery talks,
I have decided to withold my tax as a form of protest............it's this or rioting, which I'm saving for when I'm unemployed :D.
So what are the best tax dodges, I am happy to accept that there is a risk involved.
I am sorry to have to do this, but there is no other choice in this bananna republic.

Do you want to avoid tax or evade tax?

Quit your job, go on the dole, don't use gas or electricity, don't smoke or drink any alcohol, don't buy anything with VAT on it.

    Fight the power.

Why bother with the tax dodge, and the resulting negative implications if your are caught?

INstead, why not set up a group for likeminded protestors and make the withholding of tax a point of principle - you will likely get plenty media coverage which will build membership etc... You will also attract the attention of the revenue and gardai (maybe, at a later stage), but thats the price you would need to be willing to pay.

    I look forward to developments....

If you want to do it in such a way that the government don't notice, then this is not withholding your taxes in "protest", it's "being a little whinger".

Also, i can only assume you are not in a position to do your own taxes, as you are asking about tax dodges, hence your tax is already paid for you?

This "protest" will just get you in trouble. Be honest, you simply want to save a few pounds because of the recovery etc, so you are deciding not to pay tax and risking a criminal record!

Put the tax you would pay into a secure offshore account somewhere where the govt can't get it. Prove you have it, with statements, tell them what it's for but you're only going to realease it when you trust them. You'e not avoiding it, you're witholding it.

I have a spare account you can hide it in if you want :D

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Ya i have been thinking of saving a bit through not paying tax in some way. Price of everything is increasing, so im going to have to get my money back somewhere. I dont pay for city parking as it is. I park my car in a free shopping centre car park and walk around town. But i have been thinking of claiming my car of the road to avoid car tax. In my 3 and a half years i was driving, i was never stopped by the guards. So i probably wont now. Anyway i dont think a fiesta is worth it anyway.

A bit of both please, I want to bend the rules as far as humanly possible, and will accept some risk in doing so.

I'll probably have to move the UK soon enough, would they be willing to chase me to the UK to get the tax back?

How very public spirited of you OP, you withold your tax thereby putting more pressure on the rest of us as a result? What next? Intentionally go on the dole and do even more to suck the rest of us dry? I don't like paying tax any more than anyone else, put an attitude like yours just helps to pull the rest of us even deeper into this pile of shit, good man!
