    Hi.
I have a TV socket in three bedrooms and the sitting room. All the TV wires are not connected up in the attic as it is a new house. I have the lidl twin lnb satellite and receiver and I am happy with it except for the gui. I also have a terrestrial Arial which I have not put up yet.
If I buy a second box for the sitting room how would I connect the terrestrial Arial to the bedroom and the sitting room?
Any recommendations for a good gui box?
    Thanks.

OK,,,, you can buy a second receiver ( technomate 5200D ) and connect that to the second output on the Lidl LNB.

Put up your aerial and run the cable to the attc,, connect the aerial cable to the house co -ax cable via a Uhf tv amplifer .

If you have no spare cables running to the Living room, then buy a multiplexer and a diplexer and they will allow you to run the satelite and aerial signals down one cable

GUI on the Technomate 5200D is excellent

Spot on stevethesatguy. Thanks a lot.
There is only one cable to each room so i need to buy a multiplexer and a diplexer. I am not so sure so i put together a crappy diagram. It is probably all wrong :)
    Does it make any sense?

    Hi springsprong.
I am no expert but i think they are interchangeable. Wait for another opinion.

Any dish with a universal LNB will do.

BTW the untitled.JPG diagram is incorrect. You can't run an LNB signal through an F splitter. (Well, not if you want it to work.)

Not sure what you are trying to achieve but maybe something like the stuff on this page will help?

    Thanks for the link Sam.

I would like to be able to view rte and satellite in each of the four rooms. I already have a reciever box in the bedroom and plan on getting one for the sitting room.
Need to know how to connect the four wires from the four rooms to the sat and aerial.
    Would this do the trick?

    It says
"Please Note: Connections on this Loft box are F type connectors; Not coax"
How does one connect the Coax from the aerial?

    Hi Bicky,

I don't know the LoftBox product you linked to, but if it has only one satellite input, it's probably not what you want. Assuming you want each TV to be able to show different sat channels, each one basically needs a separate connection to the sat dish.

As you may already know, distributing a satellite signal is not like distributing an aerial signal. You can simply split an aerial signal to multiple independent TVs (perhaps with amplification). However, the sat receiver works with the LNB on the sat dish when you select a channel, to set the polarity on the LNB to match that required for the channel. There are 4 different possible LNB settings (high/low, vertical/horizontal). That is the purpose of twin, quad and octo LNBs -- they're essentially multiple LNBs in a single unit, that can be run to independent sat receivers.

There is also a type of LNB called a "Quatro LNB", that has one output for each of the 4 possible LNB settings, so they can be distributed to any number of independent sat receivers, via a multiswitch.

Here's an example of a Quatro LNB:
    http://satellitesuperstore.co.uk/quatrolnb.htm

This is what the multiswitches look like:
    http://satellitesuperstore.co.uk/multiswitch.htm

I note that the first one on the linked page has an aerial input as well as 4 sat inputs, so it might be something like what you need. However, I don't know the details of how this particular product works; you'd have to look into it for yourself. However, I think if you examine the range of products on the linked page, you should be able to figure out what configuration you need.

    Buffer.
