I was looking around my McAfee security centre and the part about internet traffic seamed to show more outbound traffic than inbound, thats not right is it? (inbound=7.87 & outbound=10.05 GB for this month).

if you're using a torrent program and not removing completed downloads you will generally start to seed them automatically, check to see if you removed your downloads.

Arghhh this thing wiped my reply and asked me to login Again when i tried to submit my reply!

anyway there are no torrent programmes on this laptop, i use ninja and sometime 66 stage to download, the only things i can think of are google desktop, vaio update or McAfee itself. in traffic monitor there are 13 active programmes. maybe they all contribute to the overall outbound traffic volume? and if so what type of information is leaving my mams computer?

[theres a cool little part in traffic monitor where it lets me see the port & ip address of each active programmes, from there i can trace the ip address and then further break that down to Map View, Registrant View & Network View]
