Anyone who's read any of my posts will know I'm a big fan of BBC 6 Music.

Singer Tom Robinson (2-4-6-8 Motorway, Glad to be Gay, War Baby) has a show called 'Introducing' on it.

    In Tom's own words -
"Really glad you "get" the concept... Audience tells us where to hear great stuff, we listen and tell the audience where to hear great stuff. Listeners find musicians, musicians find listeners - we do our best to get out of the way. But the good news AND bad news is this: specialist music shows traditionally told their listeners about music they could go and buy. We tell em about music they can go online and hear for free... It reflects the bigger picture. Exactly how bands and producers are going to earn a living in the New Music Biz is going to be an increasing problem. Not that record companies ever paid us that much in the first place..."

You'll also may know we've been working with a new band 'The Evora' on our MySpace below.

Tom has picked them for playing on his show. We're very pleased.

The above track will be played on "6 Music Introducing: Fresh On The Net" on Saturday night/Sunday morning Jan 31/Feb 1 2009 between 00.00 - 02.00. You can also hear it via the Listen Again links at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/6musicintroducing for 7 days after transmission.

    Hence the Pic below!

Yez are all just pawns ..... I did blow your trumpet (metaphorically of course) on the Alternative+Indie forum though. There's been 50 odd plays this evening already on our MySpace so someone's listening!

Meeting the Head for lunch next time I go over if you'd care to join?
