    i had to replace the boot lock in my focus recently, its a 05 saloon
    anyway rang 2 ford delaers, one was €32 the other was €78 plus vat, how can the other one get away with chargin so much for the same part

    Perhaps they understood the job differently, did you just want to buy the lock or was there labour too?

    Did you quote your chassis number to both dealers?

    gave them both the reg, i bought the car in june 07 off the dearer one and yeah both prices were just for the part

    It certainly pays to shop around.

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

    You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

    Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    I was buying a bumper and a few other bits from Vw recently. Prices were roughly the same. I found a genuine light in a motor factors for half the price the Vw dealer wanted. There was one part (a chrome strip) that varied between 55+vat and 110+vat. Other than that they were somewhat similar. None the same.
