Opinions on Roaccutane??

My son has just been prescribed roaccutane for his acne having been through the usual topical treatments and antibiotics. We were both happy enough leaving the dermatologist but started worrying when we looked at the patient information leaflet. The consultant brushed over the depression issue and talked more about the dry skin. However I am really concerned about mood swings - depression etc. Can anyone who has used roaccutane let me know about their experience and what they would advise - it would be much appreciated - seems like a much bigger decision than we thought!!
    Thanks!

Sorry. This isn't a forum for discussion about peoples' own medical issues. We especially don't give advice.

No one here can possibly give you any different advice to what your dermatologist did.

You should get a second opinion from a doctor if you're unhappy.

Hope you get sorted though :D
