    hi i got up this morning turned on my pc clicked on my pic on the log in screen.then it sed loading desktop:confused: which never happens it usually just loads up.
    when it did it wasnt my desktop:mad: all my stuff was gone,internet connection i tunes pictures projects etc.
    i searched for my stuff and there still on the system somewhere but not on my desktop.
    i can save changes or anything:mad:
    i ran my antivirus and it found something but when i try to delete it it says error and iv tried 100 times.:confused:
    im running a spyware doctor at the minute to see if this helps.
    im not a big computer man so im not to sure how virus works or how the computer works for that matter.
    have any of you guys come across this before and what should i do.:(

    THIS IS WHAT WAS FOUND
    C:\Program Files\FBrowsingAdvisor\XPCOMEvents.dll - Win32/Adware.Agent.NJV application - error while cleaning (Access denied)

    luckely i have an external harddrive and 2/3rd of ,my stuff is on that.

    hope some of you can help or at least point me in the right derection

    What antivirus have you got?

    Have you tried running the antivirus scan in safe mode? (Hit F8 repeatedly -every second or so- when the PC is starting up, then choose Safe Mode from the list of options. When the desktop starts up, run the antivirus scan normally).

    What version of Windows are you using? XP Home/XP Pro/Vista Home Basic etc...
