    Don't know if something like this happened to you guys, but you may be able to help, or tell me how screwed I am.

    Last night I was playing COD 5 online, as I do most days. I was in the middle of shooting someone, while, what I thought was a power cut happened. My dualshock controller shook uncontrollacbly in my hands for about 10 -15 seconds.

    I realised then that everthing else was still turned on. Anyway I went to turn my PS3 back on & the little red standby light was flashing, which I can't remember it doing before. So I turned it on & it makes that turning on sound for about 5 seconds, then shuts off with 3 loud angry beeps. This keeps happening.

    Its a launch day 60gig model.

    If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

    If you can't even turn it off then its surely screwed. Look for one of the many 'My Ps3 is broken' threads. You can find all the details about who to contact etc there.

    Try holding down the power button for a few beeps....it will reset the video
