I got an MD golf driver over the Christmas in Golfstyle in Galway

    http://www.mdgolf.co.uk/mdgolf_2009/index.php#

The Superstrong Ti 460 Square head model.

It has given about an extra ten yards on my drive (im not a big hitter so not too concered with the extra distance) but I bought it because it/me appears to be much more accurate when I am hitting it.

    I highly recommend it

I think it's worth going somewhere that can measure your swing speed, launch angle, spin etc. I think a fair few shops have this facility. This can have a fairly important impact on the decisions you need to make regarding shaft and loft. You can then look at what 'looks' and 'feels' nice in your hands.

If I remember properly it was about €140 so not too bad for a new driver..

I got the regular flex shaft 10.5 degree version
