need a dash of subtle advice here.

Working with a coleague who every second day come to work with a hum of bo-bo from him.
This generally wouldnt bother me personally (the small things dont matter much) but for the fact that we work in an office on a busy street with customers coming and going all day long is beginning to pis5 me off a bit. (We both own the business!)

Usually im a full on, couldnt care less what i say to people when its the truth sort of person, but I dont want to offend.
Any ideas how i can get the hint across?

    Cheers

Bring some deo into the office with you and during a quiet time say something like "jesus Im getting a bit sweaty here" or whatever and use some then offer him the can or simply leave it sitting in an easily accessible place.

We had a mate like that.

We just abused him into submission. At first he thought we were joking but the look of deadly seriousness on our faces..he got the picture evetually. His prob was not personal hygene as such..but he would never wash his clothes out of pure stingyness.

had to do this myself - I was the class rep in College, and one of the lads in the class had the same problem. So I had to approach him and let him know. conversation went a little bit like this:

me: "howareya George, listen there's no easy way to say this, so I'm just going to come out and say it. There's a bit of a problem with a musty smell, and it seems to be coming from you. Can you have a look at your washing machine, because I don't think it's rinsing the clothes properly? It happened to me before, and the problem was a blocked drainage pipe."

him: "what? erm, oh yeah, sure I'll check it out".

The guy was obviously embarrassed into washing/changing more frequently and the smell went away. I made sure to say it a week or so later - "got it sorted I see?" "yeah".
