Finally got around to moving out and I'm looking for my first television. Frankly, I'm not a telly addict and we never had sky or chorus at home and I have a reasonable knowledge of technology but I fear I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to getting myself sorted with a telly Plasma, sky boxes, freeview, LCD, phone lines...…

Finally got around to moving out and I'm looking for my first television.

Frankly, I'm not a telly addict and we never had sky or chorus at home and I have a reasonable knowledge of technology but I fear I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to getting myself sorted with a telly

Plasma, sky boxes, freeview, LCD, phone lines... it's all one big swirling blur to me and searching is turning up detailed information when what I need is an overview of the technology and services available and their requirements.

Help me avoid a blunder...
