Dont know if you's have covered this but anyways. What is the best way to bet? Just plain singles/ Each way singles or would it be doubles, trebles, yankees, patents, luckys etc. Lately i've been doing 3 selections in doubles and trebles but keep gettin 2 up  Was just wondering what do yous do to beat the bookies!

I would say the more horses you have in a bet the less chance you have of winning. The best thing to do is probably concentrate on one or two races to give yourself time to analyse the form fully and then place single bets on your fancies. You might not end up rich doing this especially if your outlay is small but it is better than hoping for a big payday from an unlikely accumulator.

Now if only I could take my own advice.I find myself sometimes having six or more single bets on a Saturday and another four or so on a Sunday.

Each way singles are the best way you have of making money. Bookies love to see people doing yankees and the like. I have been refused many a time looking tomback a horse each way at 3/1.

Ive stared specialising, mainly in hurdles.

I appear (I didn't mean to) to have completely cut handicaps from my radar.
Im non existent on all weather, and non classic/grade 1 in flat.

Next year, Im going to have a solid look at juvenile races and mares hurdles, with an aim to the Fred Winter/Triumph/David Nicholson in Cheltenham.

    Stick to singles.

I sometimes have a trixie on sports results, but rarely.

It all depends what you're in it for, if you're aiming for a second income or to become a pro gambler then lumpy singles are probably the way to go. If like most people you just have a bet at the weekend or whatever then do whatever suits you, nothing wrong with doing soccer or darts acca's or whatever for entertainment.
