There will be spoilers in this thread. No really, there will be... If you haven't seen S7E06 yet, then stop reading now. In fact you shouldn't even be reading this...

TV.com summary: President Taylor is faced with an angry cabinet after an unpopular decision results in the loss of many American lives in a terrorist attack.

Jack and Tony convince Prime Minister Matobo to go along with their plan when their undercover mission is revealed in a showdown with Emerson.

Meanwhile, Henry is stuck in an unthinkable situation, paralyzed and unable to help Samantha Roth when she returns home to find Agent Gedge in her apartment.

So here we are, quarter of the season gone... I definitely enjoyed it, though it was not as strong as last week's. Seems Walker is now recruited into the ex-CTU club - hopefully they'll have something for her to do soon. Not a huge body count this episode either: I only count 4, which is pretty low by "24" standards :).

Some fine shooting there by Jack with the rifle and for awhile there, I thought Tony might be considering shifting sides - I don't think his doubts about what he is doing are fully resolved though yet.

The First Gentleman nicely got out of the mess he was in and I like that he had to fend for himself, rather than some other solution "magically" getting him out of the situation - of course, there's still the other agent parked downstairs to deal with and I'm not 100% he's even aware he is there.

Solid episode though and again, looking forward to the next one :).

Decent episode. I'm still thinking Tony might switch sides but now with Emerson dead he doesnt really have anyone to go to.

    Roll on next week.

The murder of the girl was really brutal, I thought she would get out of it. Got great satisfaction when the driver was strangled hehe. Great episode, its hard to see where they will go with it after the next few hours though

Very good episode, lots going on. I like this season so far. Like Daniel, I still think Tony will be the main bad guy for this season, and hour 24 will be a showdown between him and Jack.

The only FFS moment was Renee's rescue at the start (Bill and Grumpyhead conveniently parked just around the corner).

    Solid overall though.

Thought it was 1 of the better episodes so far this season, the 1st completed terrorist attack. Fairly obvious who the mole in the white house is also.

Very good episode. I was surprised they killed Sam(?), I had a feeling she would overpower the agent dude. I guess they had to kill someone since Renee survived. Nice little A-team setup they have now.

Yeah, Jack told them where to find her? When exactly did that happen?

You're thinking the top adviser guy? I almost thought he was going to turn around and say something like "It wasn't meant to be like this!", when the planes crashed.

Pretty good episode though, like that the First Dude was able to overpower the agent, and kill him. Nice touch for them to both go over the balcony, and land on the agent.

Did it look like Taylor was passing out afterward though? I'd be worried that the other agent will come up, and we'll be back to square one again, or that he could claim that Taylor killed both the girl and his agent, and with his prints on the knife, that might hold up. They then put Taylor under psych evaluation, while he's spouting crazy nonsense about conspiracies. His recent behavior would not help his case either.

I missed that crucial phone call happening as well.

It must have been some time between 12:59:59 and 1:00:00 though when the bleeping thing happens which is why we missed it.

Nice little episode. Solid, but not as good as the previous one.

I think Ethan is too obvious to be the main mole. but you'll never know.

Best line was Cloe "Bap cheeks" O'Brian when asked by Matobo whether she is with the FBI, she replied - "no I'm at stay home mom" .. while fitting the tooth implant tracker...

yes they are recruiting nicely for CTU v2 undercover.. all they need now Morris "I have a drill in my shoulder" O'Brian.

....they still need a good Edgar.

Someone wanted a bodycount - 270+ not enough for you?!

Good episode. I think the first hubby's going to have some explaining to do as to how his prints got on the knife. Dying to see what they're going to do to Ohio....

ONe other thing: is that a typo on the news coverage of the plance crash over the nation's "capitol"? I know the Capitol's a building, but it didn't happen near it...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I actually didn't enjoy this episode too much. Worst of the lot so far.

Will Taylor be able to sufficiently explain what went on in the apartment? His recent rabblings may put doubts in the heads of those around him.

Didn't expect the young one to get knifed though which was good.

I also think that Ethan is a little too obvious to be the mole, and President Taylor is a bit too incompetent for my liking (maybe that's just a true reflection of life though!).

It's been a good start to series, maybe a bit too unspectacular though.

He'll have the evidence on the USB key
As long as the guy in the car doesnt cop it and come up and kill him

I thought it was pants though how a scrawny man in his 50s who has just been drugged with a paralyzer could over-power a young, decent built federal agent
Didn't expect the young one to get knifed though which was good
Yeah, thought her spidey-senses would kick in but watcha gna do
President Taylor is a bit too incompetent for my liking
    Well she is a woman

Regarding Chloe & Bill knowing about Renee, I thought Jack & Tony were still on COM ?

Also, I noticed how easily they injected the adrenaline into her heart, esp when they had to go stabby in past seasons :P

AND, if it takes too long to ground the flights, why not consider over-water emergency landings?

    Definitely not him..why?

Remember him looking for the President's husband and the agent saying he was busy having a conversation with Sam?
If he was involved in the conspiracy he would have known this?
Instead he insisted the agent contact the FG asap and get in contact with him.

The president is god awfully irritating - her earnest willingness to feed American lives to terrorists is simply unbelievable by any stretch of the imagination. And she looks like she should be baking pies in the kitchen.

I dunno lads, Taylor's showing a degree of strength in her refusal to negotiate with terrorists.

As unregged said, Jack and Tony were on COM. They were wearing wires and being tracked, I think. I always get a bit nervous when people wear wires...

The exchange scene was really great, love Tony's calm attitude.

Another thing I noticed is that Ethan didnt seem concerned about the plasticy sound when Gedge answered the phone

Surely it woulda been loud when he was openin the phone, and again when he was standin up
And it would seem odd to hear that when he's meant to be sittin in his car

I liked the president too. That were arguing about it here proves writers have a good thing going with the back down/don't back down plot.

Good cast overall this season. Sorry to see Tony's mentor killed so quickly. He seemed like an interesting villain.
