Pixies Tribute Band

    I'm setting up a Pixies tribute band.

    As much as the music/sound is the most important aspect of this venture, the make up of the group is also important. Male drummer, male lead guitar and female bassist wanted. West Dublin based.

    Really just putting the feelers out for this initially, but have venues very likely to take this on.

    This obviously may not be a long term venture and could easily be run alongside other bands you may be in. On the other hand, it may turn out to be a very lucrative excersize

    No time wasters thank you.

    I've always said if I was to be in a cover band it would be a Pixies cover band. I know so many of their songs, reckon I could fill in for Joey Santiago but unfortunately I am not in Dublin. I'm trying to get there though.

    Am a HARDCORE 4AD fan. Pixies are my favourites-Kim being the reason I play bass! Can play pretty much the entire back catalogue as well as Breeders, Martinis, Throwing Muses and Belly material.
    Went so far as to get anA ria Pro Cardianal Bass (like Kim´s first one), Red Fender 62 Reissue Precison and Trace Elliot stack!
    Have met Kim, Charles and Dave Lovering all on seperate occasions (nicest people in the world-especially Dave!)
    Would love to see this work out! Best of luck man!

    How do you feel about wearing a bra and long dark wig (assuming your hair isn't also like Kim's!)? :)

    Seriously getting some good interest in this project, but awaiting our Kim to get in contact. Don't be shy Kim!

    Well, I wouldnt rule it out!lol!
    You should try putting an ad like Charles and Joey did in the Boston Herald originally-an ad looking for a bassist who likes Peter Paul and Mary and Husker Du!lol
    Or if your ´Dave´ has a mate who´s married to a bird who plays guitar, your laughing!
