I've heard great things about John Updike. What book should I start with? Does it matter?

"Rabbit, Run" is the first novel in a series of 5 books . The 4th in series, "Rabbit at Rest", received the Pulitzer Prize. So I guess "Rabbit, run" would be a good place to start.
