    what do you mean convert?
is it a nokia CK 7W or similar? the bluetooth version?

if so then the SE phone can be just paired with it with no issues.

If it's BT, they it depends on how old the Nokia kit is. The early ones were designed to only pair with Nokia phones for some reason. I had this problem and ended up having to upgrade to a Parrot kit.

theres no point in converting a cabled car kit, the nokia phones send ID signals to control volume and turn the kit on etc..., if its a bluetooth one it should just work

People say they get awful echo when they ring me on my own car kit. I use the Nokia CK-7W and have either a Blackberry or Sony Ericsson attached to it.
    Anyone else have this issue?

Yep you just need to pair it with your new phone. On most phones you can just scan for bluetooth devices, select your car kit (CK7), enter the pin code and off you go. Look up the car kit manual for the default pin code, from memory its 0000 or 1234.
