Just found out today - I only changed from BT to Eircom a month ago!!!
You can get everything in a bundle for 82 Euro a month
Has anybody got the 20MB line yet? If so how is it? I've heard it really depends on the fibre cabling - Does anyone know if they've layed down fibre cables in Charlesland - if there promoting 20Mb they must of.

    Phone line
    20Mb broadband (€42)
    Standard Digital TV (Normal stations)
Anytime Calls to LAN lines (€10)
    Free Wireless router

I feel sick I've missed out on this....
Any idea on how to get out of an eircom contract? :)

No No - I just recently changed from BT to Eircom.
With BT I wasn't tied into a contract cause I was with them for a few years but with Eircom I am.

This 20Mb line is through the NTL\UPC TV signal you'd get at home - no phone line required.

I was chatting to some NTL engineers who where across the road from my house last night and they confirm it'll be 19Mb at least.
Makes it all the worse for me to take :(
It's not Fibre optic it's something else, cant remember what the guy told me.

Don't know if I'll bother looking at this thread::(

I'm on Eircom at the moment and am happy enough.

Makes me feel a bit better anyway.

Hopefully someone in Charlesland has this and can confirm the speeds.
It might also depend on contention ratio too - I'm not sure what that is for NTL\UPC

Lads keep us updated on the BB. Im afraid to make the switch, NTL have such a bad rep, would love 20mb BB though...

So guys, whats the verdict on the NTL Broadband? Is it any good???

I have the 10meg since Tuesday and its great. Have had no problems so far.

I don't know what the contention ratio is atm but there is a good chance it will slow down as more people subscribe to the service.
