GTA 4 GTX295

    Hi all,

    Im only seeing 896mb on my GFX card in GTA 4 even thought its a GTX295

    I assume its because its a dul GTX260

    Anyone else seen this before?

    With any dual gfx card: the amount of useable memory is exactly half of what comes with the card. This is a limitation with the way SLI and crossfire work.

    eg: 1792mb divided by 2 = 896mb useable memory.

    The card should be sold as 896mb x2 not 1792

    That's the way it's always been on any dual card, and yes it is entirely misleading....regardless, I sincerely doubt you'll need more then 896mb memory anyway, so it's not going to impact performance.

    What make do you have jetski and what drivers are you using. The Ram duplicates the data therfore it halves the access times its a very good card mate. I too have one....the XFX version.
